A nearby office can be convenient, but many tax and accounting engagements can be coordinated remotely. Howard Terrell CPA Firm PLLC welcomes inquiries from individuals and business owners across the United States. Our office is in DeSoto, Texas; you can begin by email without an office visit.

Tax preparation and planning

Describe the return types, tax years, states involved, and any deadlines. We can discuss individual and business tax preparation, missing records, and planning needs. Before accepting an engagement, we confirm the work the firm can provide and the information needed. Moving between states or operating in more than one state should be mentioned in your first inquiry.

Monthly bookkeeping and QuickBooks support

Businesses looking for consistent books can inquire about transaction review, account reconciliation, accounting cleanup, and financial reports. Tell us whether you use QuickBooks Online or Desktop and the most recent month reconciled. Historical cleanup and recurring monthly work are scoped separately when appropriate.

Fractional Controller services

If you need more than transaction entry, describe the financial decisions you are trying to make. A Controller engagement may focus on the monthly close, management reporting, cash-flow planning, or accounting processes. We agree on deliverables, access, communication, and responsibilities before beginning.

How we get started remotely

1. Send a brief inquiry. Include your name, state, services needed, and timeline. Do not include account numbers, identification documents, or tax records.
2. Confirm fit and scope. We review your needs and discuss availability, deliverables, and fees.
3. Complete the engagement. Sign the agreed engagement documents and follow the firm's instructions for authorized accounting access and secure document delivery.
4. Work to an agreed schedule. We establish when records are needed and how questions and deliverables will be communicated.

Do I have to visit the office? Many engagements can be handled remotely. Any in-person requirement will be discussed before acceptance.

Does this mean the firm handles every service in every state? No. We review the services and jurisdictions involved before accepting work. Tell us your state and business locations so we can confirm availability.

Can I upload documents on this website? Not yet. The new portal remains inactive. Request current secure delivery instructions from the office.

Can we start in writing? Yes. Email your initial questions and service needs to hterrell@htcpafirm.com. The website inquiry form prepares a message in your email application; you review and send it yourself.
